NordPress Engineering carried out a full range of engineering works related to the manufacturing of stamping dies and the launch of dies into serial production for the new Lada Azimut vehicle model, for the following parts:
- Steering mount reinforcement.
- Radiator frame panel reinforcement.
At the first stage of work, we performed stamping process simulation modeling, introduced our changes and corrections to improve the process itself.
The second stage of work is the design modeling of future dies (DDR). Since this project employs sequential stamping, we ended up with 4 operations per part (4 dies per part).
The third stage of this project is die manufacturing at our production facility in China. After the dies were manufactured, we — the engineers of NordPress Engineering — personally carried out the refinement and buy-off of the tooling at the production facility.
The fourth stage is logistics from China to Russia, customs clearance, and delivery of the dies to the Customer's plant.
The fifth and final stage is commissioning and the launch of the dies into serial production — or, as they say at the plant, "serial life".
We were able to complete this project in six months, and now we know for certain that the new Lada Azimut vehicles contain a piece of our contribution and hard work.
